The Adobe Creative Cloud app itself is buggy and intrusive, and sucks down computer resources. The Creative Cloud 'app' that manages your apps and auto-installs new updates (if you want it to. Adobe Application Updater is a utility that helps you update Creative Cloud apps if your IT Admin has disabled the Apps panel in the Creative Cloud desktop app. This utility helps you to update your Creative Cloud apps directly without doing it from the Creative Cloud desktop app. Rush is also now available in 15 languages, adding support for Dutch, Polish, Swedish, Turkish, and Traditional Chinese. In your CC window, click on the 3 dots in the upper right and select Preferences Click on Creative Cloud on the top row Click on Apps on the second row At the bottom, uncheck Enable Auto-Update.

This document contains instructions for turning off or disabling the automatic check for updates when you start an Adobe Creative Suite 3 product.

Cannot update adobe creative cloud

If your computer is connected to the internet, then you can change the Adobe Updater preferences to not check for updates.

To Change the Adobe Updater preferences, do the following:

  1. Start the AdobeUpdater.exe application from ..Program FilesCommon FilesAdobeUpdater 5
  2. When the update screen appears, click the Preferences button
  3. Uncheck the Automatically Check for updates checkbox and click OK

Turn off automatic updates prior to deploying the software in an enterprise environment

To disable automatic updates prior to deploying the software, see the preserialization and suppression settings section in the Enterprise Deployment Options for Adobe Creative Suite 3 Editions and Components white paper (PDF).

Follow the steps below to disable updates for the Creative Cloud products and disable the Apps panel within the Creative Cloud Desktop application. Adobe for windows xp 32 bit. All serialized packages should have these steps performed after October 15, 2018. All products released after that date use a newer licensing model that does not support serialized licensing. We do not recommend including the Creative Cloud Desktop application in serialized deployments, although the steps will assist you in disabling the Apps panel within CCD.

When the Creative Cloud Desktop is not installed but updates are enabled, a legacy update manager will display when going to Help > Update. This process will disable the legacy update manager.

  1. Using Notepad (Windows) or TextEdit (Mac,) create a text file with the following information:

  3. Place the file in the following location:
    • Windows
